Measuring Success

Traditional metrics:

  • Velocity
  • Lead Time
  • Story Points

remain useful. However, AI-assisted teams should also measure:

  • Architectural Consistency: Do generated systems follow standards?
  • Skill Adoption: Are teams using approved skills?
  • Reusability: Are generated assets reused?
  • Validation Pass Rate: How often do generated features pass review?
  • Refactoring Frequency: How often must generated code be rewritten?

These metrics reveal the effectiveness of governance.
